Aaron Bagby, CPA

Aaron Bagby, CPA is responsible for the leadership, management, and direction of Kramer, Jensen & Bagby, LLC. In this capacity, he assists and advises a diverse spectrum of clients through tax preparation, consulting, and research. Prior to his joining Kramer, Jensen & Bagby, LLC, Aaron began his career at Ernst & Young, US LLP, the world’s third largest public accounting firm. At EY, Aaron gained a strong foundation in tax technical concepts while working on some of the country’s largest public and private companies. He was also a member of EY’s National Tax Team for two years, where he assisted public and private clients in the indirect tax compliance and consulting arena. Upon leaving EY, Aaron accepted a position with a regional public accounting firm who emphasized tax preparation, consulting, and advising for individuals and closely held businesses in the Denver and Rocky Mountain areas. Aaron is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Colorado and holds a Master’s degree in Professional Accountancy with an emphasis in Tax from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. He also holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in music from Ohio University and the University of Colorado-Boulder, respectively. Aaron and his wife, Katie, have three daughters, Bridget, Hazel, and Penelope. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys vacationing and spending time with his family, performing and listening to music, and is unfortunately a fan of the Cincinnati Reds.

Scott Jensen, CPA, JD, MBA

Scott A. Jensen, CPA, JD, MBA, graduated from the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City, Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and earned both a Juris Doctorate and Masters of Business Administration from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a Certified Public Accountant, Scott’s practice has focused on tax planning, research, and return preparation for a variety of individuals and business clients including dental, medical and other professionals, real estate and construction companies, small and medium-sized businesses and their owners. His experience also includes business formation, acquisition, disposition, and estate planning. In addition to being a CPA, Scott is also licensed to practice before the United States Tax Court and has published articles on tax and accounting matters. Scott is an active community volunteer, currently serving on the board of directors and elected treasurer for the Lupus Foundation of Colorado and for the Robinson Ranch Homeowners Association. His past community service includes positions as board member and treasurer for the Brain Injury Association of Wisconsin; member, St. Francis, Wisconsin Planning Commission; committee member, Colorado CPA Society; volunteer, Parker Recreation Youth Sports; volunteer, Boy Scouts of America. Scott enjoys spending time with his wife Nichole, son Grant and daughters Kennedy, Reagan, and Roosevelt. He also enjoys rooting for the Chicago Cubs baseball team.

Russ Kramer, CPA In Memoriam (2011)

Russ’s experience as a CPA for over 45 years included service with accounting firms Arthur Andersen, McGladery & Pullen and others. He focused on tax planning and compliance, as well as financial planning, business consulting, and litigation support services. He provided valuation opinions on closely held business interests and testified as an expert witness in numerous matters. Russ was a graduate of the University of Denver. As a CPA Russ developed excellent relationships with his clients. Russ left a professional legacy of always focusing on providing the personal touch to clients which Kramer, Jensen & Bagby, LLC continues to strive to follow.

Teri Koren, Administrative Assistant

Teri provides valuable administrative and client support services.  She has over 20 years of experience providing office and client support in business, construction, organizational and services based industries.  Clients, team members and vendors who come into contact with Teri soon know that she is always willing to help and a valuable source for information. Teri has been in Colorado since 1984 and considers herself a semi-native.   She enjoys spending time with her three children and grandchildren, all who live in Colorado.  In her free time you can find her working on one of her latest quilting projects, but her true passion is being an Organizer for Special Olympics Rocky Mountain Team and supporting the athletes.  Come in today or call for an appointment – Teri will be happy to help coordinate and support your interactions with Kramer, Jensen & Bagby, LLC to provide the best client experience possible.

Brittany Crabbs, Tax Accountant

Brittany Crabbs graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior Management. Upon graduation she moved to Colorado to begin her career in public accounting. Brittany has a wide variety of experience including preparation and planning for individuals and businesses across various industries including high net worth, real estate, fiduciary, and many others. During her free time, you can find her spending time with her dog Oats and cat Prince. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, is an avid concert goer, and loves finding new adventures and experiences.

Tony Tharp, CPA

Tony started his public accounting career in New Your City with a regional CPA firm.  He graduated with an MBA in Public Accounting from St. John's University.  While working in New York, he gained experience in financial accounting by performing audit, review and compilation engagements.  In addition, he also prepared income tax returns for individuals and businesses.  Tony's undergraduate degree was from the University of Texas at El Paso where he majored in finance and minored in accounting.  He returned to Denver in 1995 where he was born.  Since returning to Colorado from New York, he has worked for several CPA firms in Denver and has done primarily income tax preparation for the last seven years.  Tony enjoys playing an occasional round of golf and is also an avid fly fisherman.  He also enjoys spending time with his wife working in their garden and exploring the mountains of Colorado.  He and his wife also enjoy traveling when they both have the time to do so.

Mitch Mitchell, CPA

Mitch Mitchell, CPA graduated from the University of Alabama with a Master of Accountancy.  Mitch worked for 9 years at an accounting firm in the Nashville, TN area where he immersed himself with a broad understanding of tax law.  His focus was high net worth clients, a majority of which worked in the entertainment industry.  The work included tax preparation, technical tax research, and compilations of financial statements.  In 2020, Mitch moved to the Denver, CO area and assumed a leadership position with a regional tax firm that assists a variety of small business clients.  At this firm, Mitch managed a location of around 10 employees and focused his time consulting clients on a wide range of tax related issues.  Mitch joined the Kramer, Jensen, and Bagby family in December of 2023 and plans to continue assisting clients and advancing his knowledge of the extensive tax code.  When he is not scouring the up-to-date changes in the tax law, Mitch enjoys staying active in the Colorado sunshine.  He is also a devoted sports fan of University of Alabama athletics as well as the Atlanta Braves.
